About

Historic restoration craftsmanship, not commodity replacement.

Alden Bailey is a family owned business that specializes in slate, tile, and copper roof installations. Our family has been roofing since 1968. As a family operated establishment, customer expectations and satisfaction are our prime concerns.

The needs of each customer are met individually with professionalism, determination, and expertise. We provide innovative solutions to challenging conditions, especially where roofing work overlaps with historic restoration, custom sheet metal, drainage, carpentry, and masonry interfaces.

Historic Restoration

Historic restoration is the lead discipline: coordinated with carpentry, masonry, envelope protection, phased access, and preservation-sensitive execution.

  • Ridgewood Train Station
  • University of Connecticut

Historic Restoration

Older buildings ask for patience, coordination, and good judgment.

The challenge is usually in the transitions: drainage, flashing, carpentry tie-ins, masonry conditions, access, and the hidden issues that only show up once work begins.
